How to Add Tags in Notion

‍

Tags are a great way to filter and sort items in a database, here is how to add them in Notion:

  1. Go to the database where you wish to add tags.
  2. Most databases will already have a tag property. If not, simply use the add icon (+) to add one. Click inside the field to set tags.
  3. If you do not already have tags to pick from you can create new ones. Any tags created can be used for other entries as well.
  4. To create a tag, simply type its name and press enter, or click on Create.
  5. The new tag has been created and applied to the item.
  6. You can create as many tags and tag items in your database.
  7. The same options will appear for other entries.
  8. Add tags to all items and use them to sort, view and spot items!
