How to Change Data Source in Power BI

To change the data source in Power BI Desktop, follow these steps:

1. Let's start by opening Power BI Desktop and loading a report with the data source you want to change.
2. Now, click the ‘Transform Data’ button in the Home tab to open the Power Query Editor, where we can modify our data connections.
3. Find and click ' Data source settings ' in the Power Query Editor ribbon.
4. In the Data Source settings window that pops up, select the data source you want to modify, then click the 'Change Source' button.
5. Enter your new connection details, depending on your source type.
6. Click 'OK' to save your changes. Your report is now connected to the new data source.
