How To Do A/B Testing With Mixpanel
Here is how you can perform A/B testing with mixpanel:
- Go to the Applications tab on the right side of the top navigation menu.
- Select Experiments.
- This will open an experiment analysis page. Allowing you to set parameters for your tests and analyze them.
- Select the experiment you wish to analyze. Ideally, you will be tracking your experiment event which can be selected under Tracked Experiments or, choose a Custom experiment to proceed.
- Select the specific board on which you wish to measure the impact of your experiment.
- You will then be prompted to select the control and variant groups.
- For this demo, we select two groups of users under and above the age of 18.
- Configure your first group.
- Followed by the second.
- Finally, you can now also use mixpanel segmentation to break down the statistics for a specific group or type such as a Cohort.
- You can now expand your results to view a breakdown and a comparison of your A and B groups impacting your board metrics for a Cohort.
