How to Import Visuals in Power BI
Importing visuals in Power BI lets you expand your report design beyond the default charts. Here’s how:
- Open your Power BI report in Power BI Desktop. Click on the 'Visualizations' pane on the right side of your screen.
- Now, find the three-dot menu at the bottom of the visuals.
- From the menu that appears, select 'Import a visual from a file' to bring in your custom visualization.
- From the menu that appears, select 'Import a visual from a file' to bring in your custom visualization.
- Browse to locate the .pbiviz file on your computer that contains the visual you want to import.
- Click 'Open' to start the import process.
- You'll see a notification confirming the visual was successfully imported. Click 'OK' to dismiss it.
- That's it! Your imported visual now appears in the Visualizations pane, ready to drag onto your report canvas.
