How To Organize Product Categories In Salesforce
Here’s a quick overview of how to organize product categories in Salesforce:
- Access Setup using the gear icon in the upper-right corner, or through the Setup option under your user menu.
- Enter "Object Manager" in the Quick Find search box and select it.
- Click Products, then select the Fields and Relationships tab.
- Locate and select the Product Family field.
- In the Product Family Picklist Values section, click New to create additional families.
- Enter each new Product Family name on a separate line in the text field provided.
- Alternatively, click Edit to modify existing families (including the default "None" value).
- Provide a descriptive Label for your Product Family.
- Click Save to implement your changes.
Important: Administrative permissions are required to modify Product Family picklist values in Salesforce.
