How to Create a Permission Set in Salesforce
Permission sets control user access to specific features and data in Salesforce. Here's how to create one:
- Go to Setup in the top right corner.
- In the Quick Find box, enter "Permission Sets" and select it.
- Create a new set by clicking on New.
- Configure the Set:
- Label: Give your permission to set a clear name (e.g., "Sales User Permissions").
- License: Choose a specific user license or leave it as "None" for broader applicability.
- Scroll down to find System Permissions.
- Under System Permissions, select the specific permissions users with this set will have (e.g., "Create Leads," "Edit Opportunities").
- You can also grant access to objects, fields, apps, and more.
- Click Save to create the permission set. Then, you can assign it to users.
