How To Export a List from Salesforce
Salesforce doesn't offer an option to export lists. However, there is a workaround if you want to export a list for your use.
- Firstly, you will need to switch to the Salesforce Classic to carry this out. To do so, head over to the profile icon on the top right.
- And click on Switch to Salesforce Classic.
- Now, you are in the classic view. You can choose whichever list you want to export.
- In our case let's choose Contacts from the menu bar on the top.
- Make sure the dropdown on the top says "All Contacts" and hit Go.
- Click on the Print sign on the top right.
- A print preview page with all your list items will open in a new tab.
- Select a high number of records to be viewed on one page. We went with 1000 records.
- Hit Cmd+A or Ctrl+A on your keyboard to select everything on the screen. And copy it with Cmd+C or Ctrl+C.
- Open a new Google Sheet and paste your copied items. You will need to delete the top few rows to clean up your list.
And this is how you can export a list from Salesforce.
