How to Get Rid of Checkmarks on Dropbox Folders

Here's how to do it:

For Mac users: Open Finder and select Dropbox from the left-hand sidebar.
Right-click the file in your Dropbox folder and select Do Not Sync.
Confirm by selecting Don't sync.
You can also go to Dropbox by clicking the Dropbox icon in the menu bar.
Click your profile icon then select Preferences.‍
Under Preferences, go to Sync and choose Online-only.
