How to Remove Toxic Backlinks from Semrush

Here’s a step-by-step tutorial on how to remove toxic backlinks in Semrush:

1. Start by using the Backlink Audit tool to build an outreach list of toxic links.
2. Enter your website url and hit Start Audit. (Choose the root domain and start the audit)
3. A good marker to have is if a link shows 60-100 it's toxic; if it's 45-59 it's potentially toxic.
4. Connect your Email account. (click "Add" next to the mailbox.)
5. Select all the backlinks you want to remove.
6. Click on Delete after your toxic links and select To Remove.
7. Do it for all the toxic links and then you will find them under Remove tab above the report.
8. After that you can click on Send in the Send Email column to request link removal.
9. Edit your email to request link removal and hit the Send button.
