How To Set Up Google Search Console
Follow these steps to set up Google Search Console for your website:
Go to Google Search Console and sign in with your Google account.
- Click "Start now" and choose "ADD property".
- Decide between adding a domain or URL prefix.
- If you have many different subdomains and want separate stats for each, choose URL prefix.
- If you want stats for all subdomains to be gathered in one property, choose domain.
- For DNS VerificatioGoogle Search Console will provide you with a txt DNS record value. Copy it.
Next step is to Add DNS Record and Verify
- Go to your DNS server (e.g., Cloudflare) and navigate to the DNS settings.
- Click on "Add Record" and choose txt as the record type.
- Use "@" symbol for the name field (representing your domain name) and paste the txt DNS record value into the content field.
- Save the record.
- Return to Google Search Console and Click on "Verify".
- If everything is set up correctly, it should verify immediately. Otherwise, it may take a few hours.
