How to Add Security Token to Password in Salesforce
In Salesforce, you don't actually "add" a security token to your password. The security token acts as a second layer of authentication, separate from your password.
However, you can easily reset it and have a new one sent to your email address and achieve a similar effect. Here's how it works:
- Go to your avatar icon on the top right and select Settings.
- In the Quick Find box, type Reset and choose Reset My Security Token (under Personal Information.)
- Click Reset Security Token.
- You will receive a new security token in your email inbox.
Note: This token is typically used with your password when logging in through untrusted networks or integrations like the Salesforce API.
